AI Detector
Free AI detector and text checker
Use this free AI detector and AI checker to screen text for AI-writing patterns, review an estimated probability, and understand the signals behind the result.
A useful first signal, in seconds
Built for quick screening while being clear about what AI detection can and cannot prove.
Explainable estimate
See an AI-likelihood score, confidence level, and the writing signals considered.
No raw-text storage
Your text is sent for analysis but is not saved in our database or object storage.
Honest limitations
The result is a probabilistic screening signal, never proof of authorship or misconduct.
How this AI detector reviews your text
Start by pasting a meaningful sample of continuous prose. Very short, heavily formatted, or fragmented text contains fewer useful writing signals, so the detector may ask for more content before running a standard check.
When you select Check text, the submitted passage is sent to the configured analysis provider for that request. The provider reviews statistical and stylistic patterns in the writing and returns an estimate; AI Detector does not save the raw passage in its application database or object storage.
The result combines an estimated AI likelihood, a confidence level, and a short explanation of the signals considered. It is a screening result, not a comparison against every possible source and not an official attribution to a particular model.
How to interpret an AI detector result
Read the probability, confidence, and explanation together. A higher AI-likelihood score means the submitted writing resembles patterns the analysis associates with AI-generated text; it does not prove who wrote the passage or how it was produced.
Short, translated, heavily edited, formulaic, or highly technical writing can be harder to classify. Human writing can receive a high score, and AI-assisted writing can receive a low score. Treat uncertain or low-confidence results as a reason to gather more context rather than force a conclusion.
For consequential decisions, review the original drafting process, source material, revision history, and the writer's explanation. Use the detector as one signal alongside that evidence, and avoid treating a single score as proof of authorship, intent, or misconduct.
